Widely regarded as one of the best Greek actors of his generation, Dimitris Mothonaios, after graduating from "Karolos Koun" Theatro Technis (i.e. Art Theatre) Drama School, made his brilliant stage and screen debuts in Fyodor Dostoevsky's "The Idiot" (National Theatre of Greece) and in the Alpha TV series I teleftaia parastasi (2006) (i.e. "Last Performance") respectively. In the 2009-2010 season, he starred in the successful Ant1 TV series Karma (2009) and in 2015, he participated in the Alpha TV comedy series Mi me skas! (2015). In 2019, he starred in the leading role of Antonis Kostoulas in the legendary Greek drama series I zoi en tafo (2019) (i.e. "Life in the Tomb"), which was screened by the Greek State TV network ERT (Hellenic Radio Television) based on the world famous best-selling historic novel by Strates Myriveles. His notable stage work also includes, among others, memorable subtle interpretations of profoundness, sensation, intelligence, charisma and insights, such as in Euripides' "The Bacchae" and, at the National Theatre of Greece, William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" and the title role of Henrik Ibsen's "Peer Gynt".
