Diêm Camille is an Ivorian-Danish actress. She was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and moved permanently to Denmark with her father at the age of five. Diêm studied drama, music, English and Spanish in high school, and joined an athletics club. After graduating from Copenhagen Business School in 2016, she got her first role in the TV series Kriger (2018) directed by Christoffer Boe. She landed her first comedic role in 2017, on season 1, 3 and 4 of 29 (2018). In 2019, she earned the lead role in the Zentropa produced short film Olivia (2021) directed by Stine Likodelle Keller Søegaard.In March 2019, Diêm wrote her first short film Doll (2020), which she directed and starred in. Doll (2020) has won 5 awards, including awards for Best Actress and Best First Time Director. She has been playing Lina in the hit TV crime series The Sommerdahl Murders (2020) from 2020-2022. Diêm is the supportive actress in the new Danish drama feature Den store stilhed (2022) directed by Katrine Brocks premiering fall 2022.Diêm recently created and wrote a TV series for DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation), in which she plays the lead role. This will be the first TV series in Denmark with a predominantly African cast.
