A Canadian Screen Award-winner and nominee, David was recently seen starring as superhero Blue Bolt/Richard Conrad in Jupiter's Legacy (Netflix). He's best known to audiences as Rabbi Dave Bloom in Weeds (Showtime), Ray Stein in Hawthorne (TNT), and Dr. Josh Gould in Naked Josh (Showcase). Born and raised in Montreal, Hirsh studied Law at McGill and majored in Criminology at The University of Toronto. He left school one credit shy of his degree to train as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. He has performed both On and Off Broadway. Hirsh also starred as the hero (Jake Hersh) in the film adaptation of the iconic Canadian Novel St. Urbain's Horseman (2007) by Mordecai Richler for CBC/BBC. Hirsh won a Canadian Gemini Award for producing the critically acclaimed Camp Hollywood (2004) - a film about the residents of dilapidated hotel in Hollywood. He was nominated for Best Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards for his role in Twist of Faith opposite Toni Braxton. Hirsh can also be seen as recurring and guest starring on Taken, House of Lies, CSI, Rosewood, and Grimm, among many. David splits his time between Los Angeles, Palm Springs and Canada.
