David Ferry Jr. has always been creatively driven - he grew up writing and recording music, and in 2003 was captured by the filmmaking process while watching the 'making of' documentary on "The Lord of the Rings" DVD. He went on to earn a B.A. in Media Arts and since then has produced dozens of short films, commercials and feature films. He worked for nearly a decade as a producer/editor at the cable TV network Reelz Channel producing shows and promotional content, and is co-owner of the production company 82/92 Productions. His major influences include Terrence Malick, Alfonso Cuaron and Peter Jackson. 'The Garden' (2017), an impressionistic and experimental feature film, was his directorial debut, which he also wrote and edited.
