Daniel Lee Perea is an award-winning director, writer, and musician.Daniel grew up partially on a farm outside Cleveland Ohio, immersed from a young age in bluegrass music by his family. In the late 1980s, Perea's family moved to rural Alabama. After graduating high school, Perea moved to Mississippi where he has resided since.Daniel's acting career includes appearances in Butterfly Rising, Texas Heart, and numerous character roles in independent projects. As a director, he's won acclaim in the fields of narrative, documentary, music video, and experimental film. In addition to screenwriting, he has written for a number of publications.Perea was instrumental in building Pizza TV, a content channel on Roku and the web focused around the pizza industry that grew as an offshoot of leading international trade publication PMQ Pizza Magazine. Perea was part of the team that brought pizza-related alternative sports to ESPN as part of their annual Ocho Takeover and provided play-by-play commentary. The broadcast was cited as ESPN's #1 best sport on 2019's Ocho Takeover
