Dana Lynn Loesch is an American conservative political activist, commentator, talk radio host, and author who serves as a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association. Loesch was raised by her mother, Gale Eaton, in an extended family of Southern Baptists. She has said she had a Cherokee ancestor who was removed from their land on the Trail of Tears as well as a paternal grandmother of Irish descent. Her father and siblings' details are unknown. She graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri and later went to attend St. Louis Community College at Meramec. She got transferred to Webster University to study journalism on Scholarship but she had to drop out from the college because of her early pregnancy. Dana Loesch's original brand of young, punk-rock, conservative irreverence has found a fast-growing audience in multiple mediums. Dana is listed in the top 25 of Talkers Magazine's top 100 "heavy hitters" and was named Missouri's #1 Radio Personality in 2014. She is the author of two books, "Hands Off My Gun: Defeating the Plot to Disarm America" (2014) and "Flyover Nation: You Can't Run a Country You've Never Been To" (2016).
