Carlton Holder was born in a dangerous part of Brooklyn when New York was the most dangerous city in America. To escape this bleak world of gangs and crime, he became fascinated with comic books and grew up immersed in the New York comic book scene (Think "The Warriors" meets "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay"), often writing his own short stories. Later, Carlton became involved in the sport of gymnastics. Gymnastics led him first to college, then to Hollywood, where Carlton became a Hollywood stuntman. After a decade of stunts, Carlton returned to his first love and began writing scripts. His first screenplay sold to Millennium Entertainment and became an HBO World Premiere movie. His first TV show pilot teleplay was packaged by CAA and sold to Tribune Entertainment. Recently, Carlton created his own signature publishing label Brooklyn Apache Press where he creates diverse genre fare novels and novella series which can be commercially exploited as feature films, TV shows, and digital content.
