Caileigh Scott, Lady of Galloway was born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, and raised in the Pennsylvania countryside and New York City. The only child of a modern dancer and folk musician, she has been surrounded by the arts, activism, and philanthropy her entire life. Her early artistic pursuits were in music and dance - she played the viola, cello, flute, and oboe; and studied ballet, tap, and jazz. She initially envisioned a career with the New York City Ballet, but at the age of 12 was cast in her first professional stage production, after which she switched her focus to acting. Standing 5'10" tall by the age of 14, Caileigh also began modeling, walking in New York Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, and Rock That Fashion for VH1's Save the Music, as well as appearing in numerous print campaigns.After graduating high school in the top 5% of her class, with several college credit courses completed in her senior year, she attended AMDA, a competitive performing arts college, where she majored in theatre and minored in comedy theory. She has appeared on stage in New York, Los Angeles, regionally, and internationally; on television; and in film. In 2017, Caileigh and childhood friend Jacklyn Collier formed feminist comedy duo Girlcrush Comedy, the production company Theatre Camp Productions, and the youth acting coaching company Theatre Kids Coaching.Outside of her career in entertainment, Caileigh is a political organizer, philanthropist, and women's rights advocate. She was a founding member of Kirsten Gillibrand's Young Leaders Council and is a member of: New-York Historical Society's Women's History Council, DNC Young Professionals Leadership Council, Eleanor's Legacy Innovation Council, Habitat for Humanity's Women Build Council, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York's Young Visionaries, Robin Hood Foundation's The Forest Junior Board, UNICEF USA's NextGen Committee, UN Women Metro New York's Young Professionals Committee, and the New York Junior League. She co-chairs the Ms. Foundation's Young Professionals Advisory Committee and the Clinton Foundation's 2030 Leadership Council, serves on the board of directors for Students Disrupting, and is a District Ambassador for the Alzheimer's Association.
