Brainpower was born on Feb 05, 1975 in Belgium. Brainpower's big-screen debut came with Afblijven directed by Maria Peters in 2006, strarring Rapper.

Brainpower is a pioneering bilingual Hip Hop artist, songwriter and producer. He founded and runs his record label, Lyric Recordings, in Amsterdam, where he resides.Having released eight albums (six studio albums, a live double-disc and a triple-disc greatest hits box set), Brainpower is an established recording artist in a league of his own. Because of his diverse musical and creative dedication he is a household name in Holland, Belgium and the Dutch Caribbean.After having chart-topping hits in both Holland and Belgium, multiple gold and platinum records (both as artist and as songwriter) and winning many awards (including an MTV Europe Award for Best Dutch Act), Brainpower was given the State Lifetime Achievement Award in Amsterdam for his ongoing impact on the Dutch music scene - the Hip Hop scene, specifically. Over the years, he has shared the bill with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Black Eyed Peas, OutKast, Wyclef and De La Soul.He released his latest studio album Determination in 2015. He is a professional translator, who translated both Othello and Hamlet in rhyme form to have the classic Shakespeare pieces reach new audiences. in 2015 & 2016 alone his translations were performed 130 times over 2 tours by a stellar cast.
