Boyan Papazov is a Bulgarian writer, playwright, director. Boyan Papazov was born on Decemler 2, 1943 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated High English School, then Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (majoring in screenwriting) and Higher documentary directorial courses in Moscow. Between 1971- 1983, he was editor in Boyana Film Studios for feature films, later he was a professor at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria (1978-1982), and then - a freelance playwright (1982-1987). He has managed the TV studio of the Union of Democratic Forces in the elections for the VII Grand National Assembly (April-June 1990) . MP in the Grand National Assembly (1990-1991). He is a producer and director in a film house " Concordia" (1991-1993). He was a Culture Attaché at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Washington, USA (1993-1996). Then he is again a producer and director in film house "Concordia Productions" (1996-2004). Since 2004 he became a playwright in the Bulgarian Army's Theatre. Boyan Papazov wrote scripts for Bulgarian films such as "Strong Water" (1975), "All is Love" ( 1979), "Home for Gentle Souls" (1981), "A Woman of 33" (1982) and "My Stub Nothing" (2007), which was awarded a special jury prize at the 15th international Film Festival "Love is folly " in Varna. He has directed a number of documentaries, of which the most famous are "Simon, Abraham and Joseph" and "Where Souls Rest." He is author of the theater plays, which were performed with a great success in Bulgaria, Germany.
