Beatriz Godinho is a Portuguese actress. Godinho studied classical ballet from a very early age and pursued a professional dance career until 2012. She trained as an actor at Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo in Porto and shortly after began her professional acting career in theatre. Fluent in English, she attended the One-Year Acting Course at The Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing in London and completed a BA in Acting from Lisbon's Theatre and Film School in 2015. After graduation, she carried on investing in her acting skills, being taught by coaches such as Michael Margotta, Charlie Sandlan, Tom Todoroff and Cathleen McCarron. She appeared in many Portuguese series and films including the main cast in the TV movie O Sítio da Mulher Morta (2021) and the short film Cenas de Uma Vida Amorosa (2019). In 2021, she also appeared in Netflix's anthology series Love, Death & Robots (2019) and her episode Love, Death & Robots: Ice won the Emmy for outstanding short form animated program. Recently, she played the lead role in Cuba Libre (2022), a TV Mini-Series based on the extraordinary biography of Annie Silva Pais, the only child of the director of Salazar's Portuguese political police that left her family to commit herself to the Cuban revolution, while being secretly in love with Che Guevara.
