Bavo Dhooge graduated as a director/writer on the Royal Academy of Art in Ghent. His short film "Warmwatervissen" was selected for the International Filmfestival of Flanders in Ghent. As a writer he made his debut with the novel "Spaghetti". Soon after that, ten other books followed, mostly fiction thrillers like a series about a private-eye detective. Bavo Dhooge writes stories, novels and scripts for television, for children and for adults. He lives near Ghent.
