Writer, translator, director and poet Baris Pirhasan was born in Istanbul in 1951. He got his BA in 1976 at Bogazici University, Department of English Language and Literature. His poems were published in Turkish magazines such as Yeni Dergi, Militan, Sanat Emegi, Yazko Edebiyat, Gösteri, Sözcükler. Studied in the National Film and Television School, Becaonsfield U.K. (1989-1993. Dept. Film and TV Direction) with a scholarship from The British Council. He has four poetry books published: Tarih Kötüdür / Imzasiz El Yazilari, Babam Benden Hicbir Sey Anlamiyor, Askla Kedi Arasindaki Yedi Benzerlik, Hürrem.
