Austin Newman

Austin Newman

producer, director, writer

Austin Newman was born on Sep 09, 1988 in USA. Austin Newman's big-screen debut came with Til' Death Do Us Part directed by Austin Newman in 2008.

Ever since he was old enough to balance a bulky 1990s-style video camera, Austin Newman has delighted in the making of movies. With an eye for detail and the ability to visualize a story was born a passion to write scripts and see them come to life in film. Newman is deep into all aspects of film production. After attending his first year of college to pursue an unrelated major and simultaneously working on a film project, he decided that he would take a hiatus to work on another film project that was his third script out of many he has/had in the works. The determination to complete what he started wouldn't allow him to concentrate on anything else.In November 2006, he moved back to his hometown from Florida (where he attended UTI). He had lost interest in the automotive field, and was desperately searching for a new career choice. He began to enroll for classes for pre-med at Lander University. Before the semester started, he acquired a roommate who was a film major. His roommate needed help with a school project short film, and requested that Newman star in his film. Newman Happily agreed and fell in love with the movie business. After that, he decided to "Just take a year off of school". He wanted to learn everything there was about filmmaking! He especially liked the writing and producing parts, so he decided to write a script. He named it "Last Breath". After completing his Feature length script, he staged a reading of it and got excellent response! Because it was not in his budget yet to produce the film, he began writing two short story scripts called "Acrimony" and "Til' Death Do Us Part". After a year had gone by and Newman had still not been to finish his schooling, and decided to push it back even further. He began to produce both films, and continued about his career. After an awesome response from a theater audience for Til' Death Do Us Part, he began cooking up his next film, this time a Full length script again! Of all the films to try and produce and write, he wrote a WWII love story, claiming "I love a challenge"! After meeting with potential investors for an entire summer, Things were beginning to look up for Newman. But shortly after, gas prices sky rocketed and the recession hit hard. After losing every potential investor, Newman began to pay for the film out of his pocket. Every last dime he had was put into Third On A Match. He began to collect costumes, props, locations, etc... Newman at that point, was at one of the golden moments of his career!
