Atanas Atanasov was born on September, 15, 1955 in Sofia. In 1980, he graduated from acting in National Academy for Theater and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in classes of professor Alexander Stoyanov . From 1980 to 1985 he worked in the dramatic theater in Sliven, from 1986 to 2000 in the Theatre "Bulgarian Army", and from 2000 to 2001 in National Theatre. From 2001 he is a freelance actor. From 1991 Atanas Atanasov taught acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in teams of professor. Elena Baeva, professor. Krikor Azaryan, professor. Plamen Markov. Since 2003 he is an artistic director of the classes in the same Academy. In 2002 he was awarded the academic title "professor". In 2008 the degree Doctor of labor "The stage image - aspects of the subjective approach."
