Ashraf Fahmy was born on Aug 25, 1936 in Egypt. Ashraf Fahmy's big-screen debut came with Wa la yazal al tahqiq mostameran directed by Ashraf Fahmy in 1979.

An Egyptian Film Director, he directed over fifty films, in addition he wrote three others, The movie "Until The End of Lifetime (hatta akher elomr)" was most memorable and famous for the music composed by Omar Khorshid , and he also produced three other films. First earned a Bachelor of Arts ( History ) from the University of Cairo in 1961, then graduated from the High Cinema Institute of Giza ( first class ) in 1963 to walk in the Egyptian Cinema bath , after that he studied Directing at the University of California from 1964 until 1967. First he worked as a director at the "National Center for Documentary Seetma", he directed the film ( a new life ), then worked as an assistant to Fatin Abdel Wahab, Abduel Rahman Khamisi and Youssef Chahine, then he directed his first Feature Film ( The Killers ). Since his first Film "The Killer" his Films & Creations stared pouring, he was a daring director of the 70's, 80's & 90's in Egypt known for the Thrillers he directed at that time. he was involved in the Cinema Council Adarhmassh in 1969 and then nominated as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Studios, Production and High investment in 1977. through his career life he directed over 50 films, wrote and produced many more.
