Asami Usuda was born on Oct 17, 1984 in Japan. Asami Usuda's big-screen debut came with Mayonaka no Yaji-san Kita-san directed by Kankurô Kudô in 2005. Usuda Asami was born next door to Tokyo in Chiba Prefecture. She was spotted and scouted outside the famous Shibuya 109 fashion compartment store in Tokyo at age 15 and began appearing in magazines as a model. She began acting at the age of 19 in 2003 with her first appearance being on a TV drama called To Dad For A Summer. She played the role of Keiko in the serial. She was the moderator for the music program SUPERCHA! as she continued transitioning from modelling to acting including stage work. Her roles included being the junior to Ayase Haruka in Hotaru No Hikari's second season where she was the leggy and fashionable contrast to the former's plain jane character, a wife in a film playing out in post-tsunami Japan, a role in a countryside with zombies and a girlfriend to a character in a seedy nightclub. She was dating Radwimps' singer Noda Yojiro in 2011, but after two years of dating announced her marriage to rock band Okamoto's drummer Okamoto Reiji in January of 2017. He was 26 and she was 32. Like all successful actresses and models she does commercial work and has represented chemical companies, parfaits, Kewpie mayonnaise and more. She is represented by A-Team agency.
