Aristide Teica was one of the best, and most popular, Romanian actors specialized in cameos. He played only one leading role (the sectarian preacher, in "Bocet Vesel" / "Joyful Mourning"), and a few lenghty secondary ones, starting with the one that made him so popular: the foolish police officer Teica (same name as in real life), in the TV mini-series "Un august în flacari" / "Burning August"). Also, he played innumerable parts, of all sorts, in the Ploiesti Theater and Odeon (Bucharest) Theater; one of his best performances on this latter stage was Nae Ipingescu, in Caragiale's "O noapte furtunoasa" / "A stormy night", directed by Alexa Visarion.
