Andrzej Halinski was born on Aug 25, 1945 in Poland. Andrzej Halinski's big-screen debut came with Thais directed by Ryszard Ber in 1984, strarring Roman senator.

Production Designer of over 60 feature films and TV-mini series working in Poland, USA, Canada, Mexico and all over Europe. Educated as an architect he devoted himself in 1972 entirely to film creative design. He has worked with Poland's best directors, including A. Wajda, W. J. Has, J. Hoffman and many others. His special interest remains in period films, and he has had the opportunity to create films ranging from ancient Rome trough the Renaissance and Baroque periods, the 19th century and art deco styles to the creation of science fiction. For his work he has been awarded several domestic and international awards for outstanding design. In 1985, he emigrated with his family to the USA and since 1990 has established himself in Canada. Dual citizenship allows him to work and live in both countries, and he is now based in Warsaw and Toronto as well.
