He has become a well established theatre and television actor and has had roles created for him in productions by the likes of Peter Gill and Russell T. Davies. He also appeared in the film "Wide-Eyed and Legless" with Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. Other television work includes "City Central" (1998), "The Vice" (1999), and "Mersey Beat" (2001). From 2003 to 2010 he played DI Neil Manson in the ITV1 Police Drama The Bill (1984).
