Amalia Pellegrini (Vigevano, June 16, 1873 - New York, September 13, 1958) was an Italian actress. Her career has seen more and engaged in character roles. She started very young to tread the boards in a long apprenticeship that gave an almost flawless recitative luggage. On the cinema she established herself particularly in the postwar years, taking part in more than sixty films. Among them: "Sorelle Materassi" (1944), by Ferdinando Maria Poggioli, "Roma città aperta" (1945), by Roberto Rossellini, "Catene" (1949), by Raffaello Matarazzo, "La famiglia Passaguai" (1951), by Aldo Fabrizi, "Bellissima" (1951), by Luchino Visconti, "Pane, amore e fantasia" (1953), by Luigi Comencini e "I dieci comandamenti" (1956), by Cecil B. De Mille. Actress has a spontaneous sympathy and a sizzling charge of acting, she earned a mention in 1953 at the Silver Ribbon for her performance in "Pane, amore e fantasia" (1953), by Luigi Comencini.
