Blake was "also known as Keeno, King of the Robots, from the world record he had set by standing motionless fora an hour and twenty-seven minutes. He was a sometime vaudeville performer whose robot act got him occasional jobs at fairs and store openings." Layton goes on to describe how Blake was instrumental in helping to expose Lieutenant commander Itaru Tachibana for espionage and spying while in the U.S. posing as a 'language student' prior to the Imperial Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
