Alexander Schukoff was born on Aug 23, 1956 in Austria. Alexander Schukoff's big-screen debut came with Die Wiener Semmel directed by Alexander Schukoff in 2011.

Schukoff studied directing and screen writing at Vienna Filmacademy. From 1980 he worked as a director for various TV stations, including the Austrian Broadcasting Company (ORF), 3sat, BR-alpha and Fashion TV.1981 he developed and directed the M.O. Music Show, featuring Wolfgang Ambros, Falco and Rainhard Fendrich, he used a visual styling which later became characteristically for music videos. 1982 he was involved with the development of the first German satellite TV program by the Orbital Test Satellite from the EBU European Broadcasting Union, later established as cultural dominated TV-channel 3sat.In 1986 he founded Schukoff-Film, a film production company, and has since then produced and directed documentaries, music videos and short movies for TV channels public institutions and industry. The company is member of the Certified Austrian Film Productions.His works have included several video installations and video performances, for example 2003 at the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Ingeborg Bachmann's death, titled "Ich weiss keine bessere Welt".Since 2006 he created in cooperation with TV-journalist and screenwriter Nadeschda Schukoff TV-documentations in association with ORF, all of them shown worldwide in TV. 2021 Alexander Schukoff won the silver award at the international film festival in Deauville for his film "The Art of Soap Making".
