Alan is a writer, actor and director who trained at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre. He spent two and a half years playing PC Nick Slater in The Bill (1984) and has appeared in a variety of TV shows and films, including "Peep Show", "The Borgias" and the feature film, "Honour". As a writer, working with co-writer James Allen, he recently wrote on "Stan Lee's Lucky Man" and has several projects in development, including the feature film, "The Son". Alan has also directed three short films, "The Good Cop", adapted from a short story by Magnus Mills, "The Run" and "Paul Tonkinson's Valentine", part of the Sky Comedy Shorts series.
